We Did A Thing In Napa

How do you debut a popcorn company to the world that’s been around for over 20 years? You throw a killer rooftop party in Napa, that’s how! Bring on the disco balls! The music! The balloons — wait, rewind, Double Good has been around for 20 years? Holy scream face emoji! You’re thinking “how did I not know this,” right?

Gaw, see, this is already messed up. Rewind and back up. Not too long ago, we changed our name to Double Good and dressed our insanely delicious popcorn in fun new bags. To get the word out, we joined up with the CBC Culinary House and invited a bunch of fancy editors and social influencers to hang out with us at the Archer Hotel. The Double Good gang got dressed up in our best black t-shirts and did what we do best. We had a lot of fun, shared some laughs, and most of all, told our story.

The crafty cocktail creators behind the bar at the Archer hooked us up by pairing a few of our popcorn flavors with some tasty beverages. White Cheddar Go Getter was paired with a Chardonnay. It’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Time! got boozy with a Cocoa Manhattan, and Chi-Town Chow Down boogied with a Lime Smash mocktail.

Don’t you worry your pretty little heads, we’ll be sharing those cocktail recipes with you very soon — right here on the blog.

Here’s a sneaky peek of what went down. In Queso Fire was definitely an editor favorite. Spicy, cheesy, and delicious! (Side note, we paired it ourselves with a Pineapple Chili mocktail not too long ago.)

We took a risk with the Napa heat and wheeled out our seasonal favorite Peanut Butter Chocolate Time for one last encore. It was a hit with our guests, but we knew that already. We won’t spill the beans on who, but one editor walked out with 3 family bags…smart editor!

Fruity Fruity Bang Bang was the Instagram darling of the evening. We threw it! We ate it! We even boomeranged it!

Even Chef Charlie Palmer thought we were the bomb diggetty!

All in all, the evening was a magical moment in Double Good history, and we will be forever grateful to those who shared this special night.

Not only is popcorn near and dear to our hearts, but so is helping kids with special needs. Look for us to be “popping up” soon!
