We Did a Thing in New York

When you hear the phrase “celebrity chef BBQ,” popcorn is probably not the first thing that comes to mind. And we wouldn’t blame you, because we picture something more like this..

But our popcorn can totally hang with the fava purée and grilled octopus, even if that’s not a popcorn flavor we’ll be experimenting with any time soon.

We were invited to spend the day with a crew of food wizards/chefs at the ‘Cue Autism benefit thrown by Pop.Earth at Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York. The afternoon was full of unbelievable food, 80s pop music, and celebration, with the purpose of helping families provide care for their kids with autism.

While we debated many wardrobe options (ie. armor, royal robes, the crest of House Stark), we again donned our black t-shirts and got festive on the castle lawn.

We were so stoked to be a part of this event and contribute to the awesomeness of the day.  We met a bunch of incredible people who do amazing things for kids with special needs…
