It’s estimated that developmental disabilities affect 1 in 6 kids. This would equate to 5 students in an average classroom, 4 players on a youth soccer field, or 3 members of a school jazz band. But you may not find these kids here.
That’s why we started the Double Good Kids Foundation. We wanted kids with developmental disabilities to get all the benefits of sports and extracurricular activities.
Every time you place an online order, you’re investing in education, equipment, and opportunities so all kids can do what they love.
Hello,
Would you please provide information on which local or national organizations are being supported with these funds? I enjoy supporting causes that benefit those with special needs but I do not live in Illinois. How does my popcorm purchase benefit students in my state? Are students that benefit only residents of Illinois?
Thank you!
Hi Tiffany,
We’re so glad you asked. In 2018, the Double Good Kids Foundation worked with Surfers Healing, Wingman, Rhythm Works, and special abilities dance teams that participated in the USASF. These non-profit organizations are based in different parts of the country and work with kids nationally. We’ve written some blogs in the past on each of these orgs if you’d like more information 🙂
